Hello Followers!
Remember the first post from our July trip to the Isle O'Pines?
Do you recall how we reported being pulled over by a sheriff at about 1:30am because of how bald our tires were? Well, along came August and Camp Susque and we still had our same terribly out of shape tires, with the prospect of a 7 or 8 hr drive down to Pennsylvania.
Part 1: Mom again had trouble controlling the van.
Part 2: (We found this out later) Little did we know that we had a Christian lady, Mrs. Morrano, driving behind us who was praying about calling the police on us because she thought our messy driving was due to other causes than tires. She prayed, told her son to pray and they both agreed the Lord was saying don't call the police on them. This is the first testimony of this remarkable woman, she never does anything without praying.
Later on that day when she arrived at Camp Susque she saw our van and needless to say was shocked!
Part 3: As we unpacked we met our neighbors for the week, which "happened"(providentially) to be the Morrano's, who had the room beside us. On Wed she approached Mom and asked if she could buy new tires for our van, Mom was shocked and speechless, she didn't come to the full realization of it until later.
Mrs. Morrano took care of everything, we stood back in absolute awe and amazement. I've heard of things like this happening to missionaries and other Christians but to see it actually happen in real life? That's amazing. Imagine, a total stranger just comes out of the blue and says, "I want to buy your tires" Not only was it awesome to see the Lord bring this about in such a way as to make His absolute Sovereignty known but it was great to talk to Mrs. Morrano as well. She has had a life of difficulties in which she has had nothing to cling to but the Sovereignty and faithfulness of God thus to hear her testimony of the works God has done in her life was amazing! She is a woman with a strong faith in the Lord and it built our faith incredibly to hear her story.
Such was the beginning of our week, the beginning of a peaceful, restful week surrounded by mountains safely tucked away in the valley that is Camp Susque.

Chief Bill likes to use living illustrations in his sermons and this is one of them that he used to show that we're never alone. Even when it may seem dark and lonely (blindfolds) we can depend on the Lord with full confidence of His trustworthiness to guide us through difficult circumstances, He illustrated that aspect by allowing the blindfolded persons to pick one or two trustworthy persons to guide them through the maze of blocks.
