Happy Thanksgiving! "Oh give thanks to the LORD; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples! Sing to him; sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works! Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice! Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually! Remember the wondrous works that he has done." 1 Chronicles 16:8-12a
My family is rejoicing in this season of our lives; for our gracious Lord has extended great mercy to my family. I have been on Xalkori (a cancer pill that I take twice a day) for about 5 months. I had testing on November 6 and an appointment with the Dr on November 14 for the results. I am so grateful to be able to let everyone who has been praying for me, know that the results were of great encouragement to me. My tumors and cancer have reduced 80%! As the Dr put it, "Everything has reduced 80%!" My blood levels are normal and my liver is stable. Thank you! Thank you! for all your prayers! I find it so encouraging when someone comes up to me and tells me that they are praying for me! It's just beautiful to have brothers and sisters in the Lord, and friends of friends who I have never met, sending cards and praying for me! Please continue to pray for me, this pill I am on, is not a cure (the Dr reminds me of this whenever I see him) but nothing is impossible for my God! My life is in the hands of my Sovereign Lord! I do pray for healing; "Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done." Amen!
I'm also rejoicing that I will be a, well let's just say that, John and Stephanie are having their first child sometime in March! (We need to come up with a more elegant name, grandma just isn't sitting too well with me right now! ;)) Actually, I'm just so excited to have a grandchild! (I love the two of you and baby!)
Another reason for rejoicing is that my Tabitha is engaged to a wonderful godly man, Joshua Harris. They are planning a wedding for February 1st. We are all so excited for the two of them! I love them both!
God has so graciously blessed us! "Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen." Eph. 3:20-21
~
Psalm 61
Hear my cry, O God;
Attend to my prayer.
From the end of the earth I will cry to You,
When my heart is overwhelmed;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For You have been a shelter for me,
A strong tower from the enemy.
I will abide in Your tabernacle forever;
I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. Selah
For You, O God, have heard my vows;
You have given me the heritage of those who fear Your name.
You will prolong the king’s life,
His years as many generations.
He shall abide before God forever.
Oh, prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him! So I will sing praise to Your name forever,
That I may daily perform my vows.
