Thanks and Praise to the Lord we enjoyed really delightful family time on Columbus Day, we started out with Dad taking us out to eat for breakfast and then the beach!
Hark ye! I think I see a ship!
Felicity, she always has been a beautiful girl!
Chariti and Stephanie trying out the water, burrr, just a wee bit cold! Although it was a nice contrast to the warm day.
Hannah picking up shells
Me and Dad
The little girls and Seth racing Dad!
Do you want my shells?
Momma and her boy
Looking at the water, dieing to go crashing into its inviting waters, but remembering that though it looks nice it is cold he declines the invitation.
I just love this boy! And this picture of him!
Then we drove by Del's! When Stephanie and I(Tabitha) were little my Mom used to bring us to Del's all the time in the summer but then four more little children came and Del's got more expensive so we haven't had any since before Felicity. Today though we drove by and the Lord put it in Dad's heart to buy some for all of us! What a treat that was! Del's lemonade has always been a special favorite of Mom's.
Hannah's first sip of Del's Lemonade! I think she likes it!
Atop the Lifeguard chair
Pretty good for a Del's lemonade advertisement, eh?
The monkeys on the monkey bars!
Chariti and Hannah, especially Hannah though, have always loved to hang on things, when they were little they would hang on the bars which held up the top bunk of our bunk bed and swing on them!
Seth holding on tight!
Since we were up that way and had never been, we stopped by the Audubon Bird Society and took some pictures in their beautiful landscape
Sethyboy likes Stephanie's hat!
Flying like a bird!
Walking along the path, as I told Dad, this is the Americanized jungle
Something interesting never ceases to occur!
Once upon a time Cinderella wanted to see what was on the other side of the fence. Putting her foot onto the bottom railing she picked herself up and hung herself over the fence to get a better look. But suddenly her foot slipped and her purple flip flop went tumbling down, down, down, into the bushes, landing just inches from the watery bottom. Her sisters all tried to help but alas it was in vain, even the attempts to hang her servants upside down over the fence to see if they could reach it were sadly unfruitful. Cinderella wiped away tears as she imagined the future without her purple flip-flop, but then lo and behold! (Trumpets sound please) Father takes the stage! Without further ado, he climbs up over the fence and rescues the slipper from a watery grave restoring it to his princesses foot. And they all lived happily ever after, Cinderella/Chariti happily skipping into the sunset with two purple flip flops.
What a beautiful day it was!
A charming little beach that we had all to ourselves
Felicity, Seth and Dad waiting for us up on the deck
Awww, Hannah's such a loving little girl!
Running!
One of my favorite pictures of all time!
Cute little Chariti
Hannah loves pictures!
She kept asking Mom, "Mom can you take a picture of me over here!"
Rolling down the hill! What fun!
Our last stop for the day was Blithewold, we didn't look around very much because we were getting tired, but we just looked a little bit and snapped a few pictures. Our first time, very beautiful!
The pink flower that matches Stephanie's shirt!
A picture by the bench
Chariti on the rock by the water.
We end the day with this last picture!
I thank the Lord that He blessed our family with allowing us to really enjoy being with each other and having such a peaceful, delightful day!
