Being in Vermont we simply had to stop at the Bragg Farm
Sitting next to the syrup boiler as we watch a video on the art of sugar mapling, the owner was so informative and friendly, he gladly answered our many questions so now we can't wait to tap our trees again!
Here he's showing everyone a block of maple wood that has been tapped in different places, so we could see what the inside of a maple tree looks like after it has been tapped and the hole has healed.

Mr. Fournier was so kind as to treat us all to the special Bragg Farm Creemees! Thank you so much Mr. Fournier!

*sigh* Vermont is so beautiful!
God in His love always wills what is best for us. In His wisdom He always knows what is best, and in His sovereignty He has the power to bring it about.

Because we were with the Fournier's who love hiking and because we were in Vermont we couldn't bear to pass up the opportunity to see the beautiful "Gorge" (Not sure what the technical name is so we just called it "The Gorge") :)
Hmmm...I'm getting reminisces of Lookout... lol

Hi Momma!
A vital Christian, radiating that hidden beauty of the heart, is more attractive to the right sort of Christian man (the only kind you want) than the raving beauty who is hollow within. A woman who is developing her domestic abilities, who is reasonably attractive, and who is a vital Christian in her own right is an irresistible person.

(Jonathan Edwards wrote of Sarah), “They say there is a young lady in (New Haven) who is loved of that Great Being, who made and rules the world, and that there are certain seasons in which this Great Being, in some way or other invisible, comes to her and fills her mind with exceeding sweet delight; and she hardly cares for anything, except to meditate on him… she has a strange sweetness in her mind, and singular purity in their affection… you could not persuade her to do anything wrong or sinful…. She is of a wonderful sweetness, calmness and universal benevolence of mind…. She will sometimes go about from place to place, singing sweetly; and seems to be always full of joy and pleasure; and no one knows for what. She loves to be alone, walking in the fields and groves, and seems to have someone invisible always conversing with her.”
